ADMINISTRATIVE INTERN Part-time, Unpaid Internship, 6 month commitment.
MWO is looking for an Administrative Intern to work closely with the Executive Director along with the rest of the MWO team members. The intern will be responsible for a broad range of advanced clerical, secretarial, and administrative support duties.
COMMUNITY AWARENESS COORDINATOR – Women’s Health Matters Volunteer Position. One-year renewable term.
The MWO is looking for a Community Awareness Coordinator - Women’s Health Matters, under the Women’s Health Task Force, works to connect experts with the community to provide information and raise awareness about women’s health issues, with specific focus on Muslim women’s experiences and needs. The coordinator will coordinate monthly workshops and sessions as part of the Women’s Health Matters series.
COMMUNITY AWARENESS COORDINATOR – Women’s Health Wednesday Tips
The MWO is looking for a Community Awareness Coordinator - Women’s Health Wednesday Tips, under the Women’s Health Task Force, works to connect with the community to provide information, and raise awareness, about women’s health with specific focus on Muslim women’s experiences and needs. The coordinator will develop weekly topics for virtual distribution.
LEGAL FUND COORDINATOR Volunteer Position. One-year renewable term.
The MWO is looking for a Legal Fund Coordinator to join our growing team on a part-time basis to provide aid to women, especially those affected by Domestic Violence/ Intimate Partner Violence, and remove barriers that exist to obtaining legal assistance. Responsibilities will include engaging and coordinating with the advocacy community, private bar, and volunteers to increase civil legal services and legal representation of some of the most vulnerable women in our community. This is a new opportunity and we’re seeking a self-motivated individual who is excited by the chance to build a program from the ground up.
MASJID AWARENESS COORDINATOR Volunteer Position. One-year renewable term.
The MWO is looking for a Masjid Awareness Coordinator to join our growing team under the Violence Against Women Task Force. This volunteer will work to connect with local masajids to provide information about the task force’s initiatives and coordinate training for imams and people in key roles at the masajids. She will also help to collect information from local masajids to assist with the creation of the new VAW Training Program.
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER Volunteer Position. One-year renewable term.
The MWO is looking for a Social Media Manager to join our growing team. The ideal applicant will possess strong knowledge of the digital media landscape, including various social media sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and posting on social networks, engaging in online forums, and participating in online outreach and promotion. Those looking to gain valuable online media experience with an established organization are encouraged to apply.
STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER Volunteer Position. One-year renewable term.
The MWO is looking for a Strategic Partnerships Manager to assist in reaching out to and maintaining relations with different companies, organizations, and Muslim institutions for partnerships and sponsorships, help with formulation of donation campaigns, provide assistance in organizing fundraising events, and help applying for grants.
WEB CONTENT COORDINATOR Volunteer Position. One-year renewable term.
The MWO is looking for several Web Content Coordinators to work with our various program teams to manage online content, build MWO’s YouTube channel and presence, work with the MWO team to format and transfer existing content (videos, slides, images) onto the website and online platforms, develop new content for the MWO Website (no coding experience necessary), and contribute to website redesign.
