As Muslim women, we rarely get to share the stories of our challenges when it comes to our bodies and health. Women are silently and patiently living with infertility or the loss of a pregnancy. Women do not know about their options and what the Islamic tradition says, if anything, about contraception options. Let's start the conversation about our Reproductive Health because WOMEN'S HEALTH MATTERS!
Join us for an interactive workshop to explore the medical and Islamic perspectives about women's reproductive health, including, but not limited to, infertility, contraception, and miscarriage.
This workshop will be led by:
Dr. Dominique DiLorenzo, a physician practicing Family Medicine with a specialization in Obstetrics.
Amany Shalaby, MWO's Gender Equity Advancement Coordinator, a scholar, author, and clinical chaplain.
To share your reproductive health story so others may learn from your experience, please email Seema at health@mwo-orlando.org
This is a FREE workshop, but you are encouraged to make a contribution to cover the cost of supplies and refreshments. If you would like to sponsor this workshop, email info@mwo-orlando.org for sponsorship options and benefits.
