Leaders in Training 2020 Launch

  • Online Event United States (map)

As we all know, Muslim youth, especially girls, are intelligent, motivated, talented and capable.  They are often involved in school clubs and find themselves in leadership positions.  We are dedicated to training the new generation of Muslim woman leader, and the men who will be leading beside them, by providing them with the skills they need to excel in their leadership roles with confidence and wisdom. In addition to skills focused on day-to-day planning, we are focusing on the development of the character of future leaders.

The girls and boys of today will grow up to be the community leaders of tomorrow and must be allies of one another. By also training boys to be respectful and wise leaders, we hope to nurture a more inclusive and successful community.

The MWO LIT Program is an application based program for girls and boys in from 7th through 12th grade.  Through the course of a school year, the youth will attend monthly training sessions and a weekend long empowerment retreat in order to receive certification as a Youth Leader.  They will also be given regular opportunities to create and participate in ongoing MWO service projects based on their interests.
