Journeys with Amany: Convert Connection is a Sisterhood initiative. Journeys is a spiritual gathering space. Inshallah it is our goal to provide a space for Muslim women who have accepted Islam (at any place in their spiritual and religious journey) to connect with one another and discuss important topics under the guidance of our Hakima, Amany Shalaby.

This month we will discuss about being a single woman while converting is on the rise. Often, revert women are thought to have reverted based on marriage. How do single Muslim Women come into Islam and what are some issues that single women face.

A lot of women that come into Islam and are single might be asking themselves all these questions. How do they navigate the faith while single. Is being a Single Muslimah considered to be halal or haram? What if you are a woman that doesn’t want to marry or have children in Islam?
