April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. We wanted to take the opportunity to have a long overdue conversation within our community…a conversation about consent. The root causes of sexual violence are things we are trying to address as an organization, things like rape culture, patriarchy, racism, and power take long-term strategies to change. While we work on those, we are starting to provide resources and knowledge that can help women and girls now. We are starting with conversations, and how we can have them, with our kids.
